Never Forget to Stop and Smell the Roses

Last night I had a few rare moments to myself. I just laid out in our backyard on the trampoline and gazed up at the moon. It was so wonderful and perfect. The sun was setting into the beautiful red, orange, and purple horizon, while the moon was coming out over the trees. It smelled like it had just rained, and it was the perfect temperature to be outside, not to hot, and not to cold.

This month has been full of sweet and simple moments like this. It has also been full of its share of insane and crazy moments too. It wouldn't be my life if it was not crazy and weird sometimes. I also would not be able to stand it if that was all my life consisted of!

I have been so blessed in the last month to be able to participate in many 4-H projects. Also, to have my family having fun and doing all of these things with me. Then there are my AMAZING/FANTASTIC/AWESOME/SPECIAL/and many more... friends. :D This moth (whole summer actually) has been one of the best so far. Normally I only work on 4-H stuff all summer and don't really make time for anything else. This time, I wanted to change that and be able to have an amazing summer that wasn't only about 4-H projects. That's where my (fill in the blank) friends come in. It was so great to see them at the fair and to actually be able to hang out with them wile running around the fairgrounds trying to figure out what I have to show next. All of them truly helped to keep me sane, even if it was just stopping by to say hi, that was an amazing help! Every one of my friends is so special to me, I don't want to think of what it would be like if I never knew them. *Another thing that I am so thankful for!*

Well, that pretty much sums up this whole month... It felt like I did a ton of things, but when you put it into perspective it really isn't that much. Maybe I should go back and see what I could write about from the past moths I have missed... Or just keep on looking forward to what's to come... We shall see :)
